Troubleshooting steps

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can follow when you experience any problems:

1. Have you read the documentation that came with your theme?

Each of our themes comes with a detailed documentation and installation instructions. Before reporting a problem, please make sure that you have read through this file and followed each step correctly. The documentation is included in the zip file you have downloaded from ThemeForest. ¬†When you unzip the main zip file you will see a folder called “documentation” – this is where the documentation is located.

2. Have you searched the Knowledgebase?

The fastest way to solve your problem is to find a solution in our Knowledgebase. Many of the common issues that occur have already been covered in the knowledgebase and also we have created lots of tutorials about our themes. Please make sure to also check the General Topics – All Themes category which contains very useful topics for all the themes.

3. Try with temporarily disabling all the plugins installed

If you are using additional plugins that did not come with the theme it is very likely the problem you experience to be caused by it. To check whether this is your case, you can try disabling each plugin one by one to find the one that is causing the problem.

4. Have you installed the theme correctly?

You can read the detailed instructions about how to install the theme in the “Activating the theme” section of the documentation. You can also watch the installation videos we have created in the Installing a Pexeto theme article.

5. Have you made any customizations to the theme?

It is possible that the problem you experience may be related with some customizations you have done to the theme’s files. To make sure that the problem is not related with them, you can upload an unmodified version of the theme and temporarily activate it(you can always download the latest version of the theme from the “Downloads” section of your ThemeForest profile).
Also, if your problem is a styling problem and you have added some custom CSS into the “Additional Styles” section, you can try with temporarily deleting these styles so you can check whether the problem is related with any of them.
