Creating a password protected gallery

If you need to create a password protected gallery, you can do this with the default WordPress gallery or what we call it – “Quick Gallery”. Here are the steps you have to follow:

1. Create the gallery – you can find the instructions about creating the gallery in the Template Pages -> Quick/Easy Gallery section of the documentation.
2. In the Visibility field of he Publish section (located in the right sidebar of the edit page screen) you have to select the “Password protected” option and insert the password in the “Password” field:

Another way you can use password protected galleries would be in portfolio items – for example, you can use one of the theme’s advanced built in gallery, make the item in the gallery link to its single page, add a quick gallery to the portfolio item and make it password protected. The steps you have to follow for portfolio items are the same as the ones for standard pages.
